Home For The Holidays

For over three decades, Walker Furniture’s Home for the Holidays program has been transforming lives in Southern Nevada. As we celebrate another year, our commitment to helping those in need remains stronger than ever.

We invite you to get involved by nominating someone who could benefit from this initiative. If you know a family or individual facing *genuine hardship*—whether due to job loss, illness, a devastating fire, or another unforeseen circumstance—please submit a letter sharing their story. Your nomination could help bring comfort and stability to someone truly in need.

Nominations are now open

We are currently accepting nominations for the 2025 December selection. This is not a contest—it’s an opportunity to help real families and individuals who are struggling due to unforeseen hardships such as:

  • A devastating fire or natural disaster.
  • Job loss leading to financial instability.
  • A debilitating accident or illness.
  • Other significant economic hardships preventing them from affording essential furniture.

If you know someone in genuine need, you can submit a nomination by sharing their story with us. We carefully review each submission to ensure assistance goes to those who need it most.

Together, we can make the holidays brighter for families in Southern Nevada.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Nominate a Family or Individual – Help us find those truly in need by submitting a nomination.
  • Contribute a Monetary Donation – Your donation helps us furnish more homes for families facing hardship. The Moonridge Foundation is a Nevada 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, and all donations are fully tax-deductible.
  • Spread the Word – Share this initiative with your community to reach more people in need.

What Are the Nominations For?

Each selected recipient or family will receive brand-new furniture to help create a comfortable and functional home. This includes living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture, ensuring that every family member has essential furnishings.

Please note that all furniture is pre-purchased and selected based on standard family housing needs. Custom orders are not available. Our goal is to provide quality, ready-to-use furniture that meets the needs of those we serve.

When Is This Happening?

Nominations are open now through December 5th, with a submission deadline of midnight on December 5th.

Selected recipients will be notified, and furniture fulfillment will begin in mid-December 2025. Some deliveries may extend into January 2026, depending on logistics.

How Does It Work?

Walker Furniture’s “Home For The Holidays” has been helping families for over 3 decades. With your help, we will transform the lives of many local families, so share the story of a family in need or your own story and explain how new furniture could make a meaningful difference this holiday season. The final recipients will be notified directly via phone and/or email.

Finalists’ Notifications will take place the first half of December and not before. Additionally, a delivery date will be determined after confirming the nominee as one of the final recipients.

The Walker Furniture Family is dedicated to enhancing lives in the Las Vegas Valley, believing that better days often start at home. We are proud to partner with CenterWell Senior Care the preliminary committee, who will assist in the selection process, and we sincerely thank them for their support. The Executive Committee comprised of local VIP’s will determine the final recipients.
